This is one of my favorite quilting magazines, especially (but not only) for beginners. There is nearly everlastingly something I want to turn every investigation that is not the case with most quilting magazines I pick up. I like the different point / color schemes for each project. Fons & Porter is another excellent choice.

I subscribed to American Mess Quilting magazine for over a year, and to be reliable I found it mediocre. Projects seem to be calculated for people with 'high end' sewing machines and there are way too appliqué projects, exposure and modern looking for quilting projects. I am a Quilter intermediate, and most of these quilts are A: B too simple, really complex or C: too contemporary. There seems to be no median impose a curfew and some projects for people who like to make quilts that are more traditional looking. Really this issue (October), has a fantastic shape up for some notes designer who is not even on quilting or piecing. Bleh. For this price you would expect less ads, more blocks, and projects a more traditional piecer might delight in. 2 stars.

I found American Mess and Quilting to be among the best quilting magazines. I like every conundrum. The articles are informative and patterns are austerely wonderful. Not all aspects will appeal to all readers, but this comes close.

From what I found. . editor needs more experience. Having a grandmother makes a quilt a Quilter expert
